Taiye Selasi was a resident at the Villa Lena Foundation in April/May of 2016. Taiye is a writer, whose first book “Ghana Must Go”, published in 2013, has been translated into 18 languages and sold in 22 countries. Taiye describes her writing as lyrical, dense and circular. On a quiet afternoon in April Taiye read excepts both from her book, Ghana Must Go and from a haunting short story she wrote, “The Sex Lives of African Girls”.
