THE VILLA

LOCATION
The unique location of the villa is only a short walk to the sea and situated next to a typical Versilian pine forest and park, with the rugged peaks of the Apuan Alps offering a dramatic backdrop. The park is a wonderful place for a morning jog or afternoon stroll as well as having a fantastic entertainment park for the children. The nearby beach has an array of charming cabanas, typical of an Italian serviced beach, available for rent for anything from a day to a whole week or however long you like.
The exclusive and elegant seaside resort of Forte dei Marmi is only 20 minutes away and is buzzing with designer shops, glamorous restaurants and glitzy nightclubs. Often called the Tuscan Riviera, it has long been the summer destination for chic Italians from Florence and northern Italy.
Other nearby towns worth visiting include the magical ‘city of marble’, Pietrasanta, a spectacular spot for an evening strolling and epicurean pleasures. Artists from all over the world have their work cast in bronze in Pietrasanta’s foundries or carved in marble. You’ll see artisans creating life-size copies of Michelangelo’s David or Pietà for export to Japanese museums. Twelve miles to the north, you can drive to Carrara, famous for its marble deposits and Michelangelo’s marble of choice. If you fancy taking a day trip a little further afield, the enchanting cities of Pisa, Lucca and Florence are all within easy reach.
Despite its quiet and hidden location, the house is easily accessible from either the main sea side road or the highway from inland.
