The artist residency co-exists on the Villa Lena Estate alongside guest accommodation, farm-to-table restaurant and agricultural domains. The resident artists live in the 19th-century villa and are a central part of the community life. They offer workshops and events, and are welcomed to participate in the agricultural activities such as the grape harvest for wine, olive harvest for oil and truffle hunting in the autumn. All artists are asked to leave a trace and donate an artwork at the end of the residency – previous residents’ donations are displayed around the hotel and grounds. Residencies also exist for international chefs and yogis.
